
Our History
In 2010, The Island Foundation was registered as an International Charitable Organisation in Singapore. This was done by the owners of 8 Islands Pte Ltd, the parent company of Nikoi Island and Cempedak Island. In Indonesia, we deliver our program through Yayasan Peduli Kepulauan Indonesia - our local implementing partner.
Since inception, our work has evolved to focus exclusively on improving learning opportunities for children living in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands, through our Learning Centres, Local Teacher Training and Community Engagement.
